2- COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

User and visitor personal data is collectedwhen a visitor or customer interested in our services accesses pages of the website or when sent either via the service request form or by email .

This data can be about the keywords used in a search, the sharing of a specific document, comments, page views, profiles, the URL where the user and visitor come from, the browser they use, and their access IPs, among others that can be stored and retained.

3 – DATA SHARING

The Word Translations may disclose your personal data to third parties with the specific authorisation of the owner or in compliance with a court order.

We share your data with partner companies that are in the same line of delivery of the contracted services and marketing, for the purpose of enabling payment and data processing, as well as to make the product more relevant and efficient to its purpose.

Google Remarketing

We use the Google Adwords Remarketing feature to serve ads on Google partner sites. This feature allows us to identify that you have visited our site, so Google can display our ad for you on different websites. In order to identify your visit on our site, both other third party vendors and Google use cookies, in a manner similar to that set out in the section “How we use cookies”. You can disable Google’s use of cookies by accessing the Ad Preferences Manager.

Marketing

We do not sell, transfer or provide personal information to third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

4 – DATA STORAGE

Your data is managed by The Word Translations and you can contact the person responsible for your data by email: admin@thewordtranslations.com. The data collected may be stored and processed in Brazil and in any other country chosen to operate efficiently in the provision of the contracted services.

How long we will store your information

The Word Translations stores your registration data for the minimum period of 2 (two) years legally determined to comply with the legal obligation imposed on us, or until you request the deletion of the data, as indicated in item 6.

If you re-register on the website after the data deletion request, we may re-use your stored data.

Security measures

All data you provide us with is processed solely to achieve the purposes listed above. This data is stored on secure servers owned by us or by contracted vendors, accessed and used in accordance with our security policies and standards. All traffic between our servers or between your computer and our servers is encrypted using SSL or similar secure protocol.

We never ask for bank details without a job offer.

The security and reliability of the devices you use to access our services, such as computers, cell phones, tablets or other devices, is entirely your responsibility. You must by your own means seek to protect the operating systems of these devices against any external threat.

The data subject shall have the right to obtain from the controller, with regard to the data subject’s data processed by it, at any time upon request:

You can unsubscribe from all or part of the website by expressly requesting the total deletion of your data by emailing: admin@thewordtranslations.com.

Remember that comments, information, copies and reproduction of the content made available by you must be deleted by you at the published site.

Price Quote

As a general rule, the cost of our services is based on the number of words in the document in your ioriginal language. Specific cases of extensive projects or those covered by our Partnership Plans will be quoted according to the contracted services.

  • Distance and face-to-face interpreting (UK and Europe);
  • Editing and Editing and Proofreading;
  • MTPE – Machine Translation Proofreading;
  • Audiovisual transcription;
  • Localisation of audiovisual content (Subtitling and Script for Dubbing)
  • Copywriting and Transcreation;
  • Creating and Managing Glossaries and Translation Memory (TM);


Rates

The initial fees agreed upon with the client will be validated at the beginning of each new project and will not change during the course of the service. Any extra, additional, or outside service contract work will be agreed upon with the requesting party and subject to extra payment. 


Payment Terms

For regular customers, the payment term will be evaluated in the initial service contract and can be 30 or 60 days. 

In the case of clients requesting a one-time project – whether individuals or corporations – or interpretation services, payments must be made before the service is delivered.


Urgent Translations

An extra fee applies to projects that require a shorter delivery time, the urgent translations. This additional cost will be mentioned in the service proposal and will be fully known to the customer before starting the project in question.
