Consecutive Interpreting
Translation done during the speaker’s pauses.
This is the mode in which the interlocutor pauses their speech at intervals so that the interpreter can convey the translated message. It can be used for individuals or groups.
As there are interruptions in the speech, there is a need for prior agreement between the parties involved.
Whisper Interpreting
Translation without interruption from the interlocutor.
Variant of Simultaneous Interpreting, where the interpreter transmits the translated communication discreetly and directly to the listener, in a whisper, without interrupting the interlocutor. Used when only one person needs the interpreting service.
